The Iowa Motorcycle Dealers Association was first incorporated in 1937, when the dealers' primary sales were motorcycles. Since then, motorcycle manufacturers have diversified, and we now represent and protect the dealers' interest in motorcycles, mopeds, scooters, ATV/OHV, snowmobiles and watercraft.

Our membership includes dealers of new and used motorsports, repair shops, performance shops, salvage, manufacturers, distributors, transporters and related associations.

We employ a lobbyist to watch out for our best interests on Capital Hill in Des Moines. IMDA's lobbying efforts have kept the powersports industry in Iowa safe and enjoyable. We also work with the IOHVA and DNR to establish and keep operating off highway parks in Iowa.
